Audrey Hepburn Children's House
Hackensack, NJ
The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, located at Hackensack University Medical Center, is a nationally recognized facility dedicated to the treatment and care of children who are victims of abuse and neglect. As both a diagnostic and treatment center, the Children’s House provides a safe, supportive environment for some of the most vulnerable young patients and their families. Integral to this mission is the creation of spaces that promote healing not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well—which is why wellness-focused environments like healing gardens are so essential in pediatric care.
Planters Unlimited was honored to contribute to the Children’s House Healing Garden by providing a collection of vibrant, custom fiberglass planters that bring color, life, and warmth to the courtyard space. These planters were thoughtfully selected to support the therapeutic goals of the garden—offering a welcoming, cheerful atmosphere where children can relax, explore, and reconnect with the natural world. The bold colors and clean lines of the containers complement the greenery and floral plantings, helping to transform the courtyard into a restorative environment that uplifts spirits and supports emotional wellness. Through thoughtful design, the Healing Garden becomes more than just an outdoor area—it’s a safe, nurturing retreat that fosters comfort, calm, and resilience.
